Starting May 1, 2016, male Singaporeans who need to access the NS Portal to apply for or renew an exit permit must login using SingPass. The present login methods of using (a) NRIC and Date of Birth, and (b) the NS Portal ID will be discontinued on May 1, 2016. The SingPass login requires two-factor authentication (2FA – either through SMS or a physical token) from July 5, 2016 and more details can be found in an earlier post on this website.
